The over drive seems to have gone out in my Camry. The car will drive fine if the overdrive is off, but if I turn it on it bogs the car down. It almost feels as though it has down shifted, but the rpm stay the same. Is there possibly some module or something that could cause this. Or is it more than likely junked?
Doing some reading it sounds like it could be a speed sensor. The "Transmission failed" at a repair shop that I had to take it back to 3 times for the same unrelated error and there where other random not right things with the car. would it just be the overdrive if that where the case, and how would I go about checking that

I have no money and am selling the car to eat. Like it said I did research and have gotten mixed thoughts on if it could be the speed sensor. If it is possible it would be worth it to buck up and have it looked at. So is it possible and how would I go about checking it.

Vehicle Speed Sensor if faulty your speedo would not work. Most likely fault is solenoid for lock-up torque convertor but that is located inside trans on valve body. So without a scan test to check sloenoid you don't know for sure if thats it.
Don't understand in OD it bogs down but rpms stay the same? All that happens in OD is the torque convertor locks-up. At what speed are you applying OD?
