My car is sluggish when accelerating from startup and it is not very smooth. The exhaust is intact but engine is a bit noisy when i accelerate. and the it consumes fuel like a 12 cylinder engine. The engine light is on

Get the computer scanned for OBD2 code/s and comeback with the code/s this is where we start. Withou it we don't know what the computer is seeing and doing.
