1996 Toyota Camry 3 Disc CD player will not play CD

CD player does not seem to recognize that there is a CD in the removable 3 CD cassette. This player worked fine for years and without provocation it no longer plays CDs. The cassette tape and AM/FM radio play fine. I have removed the CD player and cleaned it but it still does not play a CD. Thank you very much for any advice.

Hi there,

I think you will find that the laser has lost it's intensity and is unable to read the disc, it will be repairable, but it may be cheaper to get a new unit.
