1993 Toyota Camry engine coolant

the car ran hot this particular time in it was the cap, so i change the cap in then it was cool, so this time it happen again it ran hot on my way home from work,i let it cool down, put some water in it in drove it home,so i change the cap agian got a new one, i was able to go to work fine but the water ran out before i go off work so it ran hot on the way home, so now when i try to put water in the radiator the water start to come back up while putting water into the raditor, but at the same time the tempeture gage dont go all the way up but it be blowing out steam in to the resoivor, plus i was going to take to thomostaf out but it was not one in it, some werer their is a blockage that want let the water flow,

can inbody help me please what shell i do next please help me please

Hi lmonroe731,

If there was no thermostat and the water did not flow when engine was running, the water pump is faulty.
