Overview
Current:
Replaced thermostat and filled w/coolant
Took car on the road,
Strong idle (park and in gear);
Good power (low speeds and high)

Issue:
Temp rose to 'HOT' after 15 mins driving
Turned on Heater to high, but only getting really cold air
No visible external leaks
Coolant bubbling/boiling in reservoir after stopping.

Why no heat if engine is HOT? Pump or head gasket?

Recent past:
6 mos ago, Car ran til overheated, spewing antifreeze out from overflow reservoir (was driven on very low level of coolant) under pressure - Car parked until now

Thanks for any help

Hi there,

First thing to do is make sure that the thermostat bleed valve is at the top when installed. When filling back off a heater hose to help bleed the air out. Do this and see how it responds.
