Air Conditioning problem
1992 Toyota Camry

my mechanic is trying to bypass the computer in the a/c which is shutting down the a/c even though nothing is showing a need for this to happen (he detected no high temperatures). The a/c had a possible leak and was recharged and the leaking part (valve) replaced. It ran fine for one day, but began shutting down again as it had been doing on and off previous to the recharge and repair. Works beautifully before shutting down (indicated by flashing a/c light).

He says the entire compressor will need to be replaced if he cannot find a way to fool the computer/sensor. This would be far beyond my financial reach.

For safety, i must have a/c to take my mother out in the heat. Any suggestions, please ? Thankyou.

very sorry that i have no way to donate at this time, the bill has already forced me to borrow.

Hi Maybe RPM sensor this part is replaceable without needing new compressor. Have Tech measure as shown in figure between terminals 1-2. Needs to be 100 to 130 ohms. If not replace.
