MY PEDAL HAS RESISTANCE WHEN VEHICLE IS OFF. WHEN TURNED ON IT SINKS TO THE FLOOR. THERE IS PLENTY OF FLUID IN RESEVOIR. I HAVE BLED THE BRAKES THREE TIMES AND SOME AIR DID COME OUT BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. IS IT THE MASTER CYLINDER OR THE BRAKE BOOSTER? HOW CAN I TELL BY LOOKING IF IT HAS ATILOCK BRAKES?

if it has ABS then not only should their be an "ABS" stamped on the brake pedal rubber but also their should be a dummy light in the dash that will light up when key is first turned in ignition that says "ABS" . fault probably lies with the master cylinder, when booster fails it will feel extremely hard to push brake pedal and almost as if you can't stop the car .
