We recently replaced a bad coil and thought this would solve our problem. The car ran great until it began to miss severely, then stalled w/in two miles, and once it stalled the 2nd or 3rd time, never started again. The coil was destroyed and replaced, but still won't start. Could the coil have ruined something else? We have checked all the wiring, grounds, replaced plugs, distributor, and wires, but don't even get a spark. Help?

Check the input power to it-not there check the ignition fuse. Other items check the distributor pick-up coil and ignitor. Where did you check for spark at the coil or the plug ends?

1/2 the time- the fix is to replace the distributor

The fuses all tested fine. The distributor, coil, wires and plugs are all new. We checked for spark at the plug ends - none.

The ignitor will be our next stop. If that doesn't work, we'll be back.
