When I install a new fuse and start the car, everything works fine. As soon as I put the car into gear, the fuse blows... gauge lights off, temp gauge doesn't work, windows don't work, rear defroster doesn't work. How do I diagnose and correct the problem?

Yes, I'm using 7.5 amp fuse. If I start the car in neutral, fuse doesn't blow. If I put shift into Drive... still OK. If I put shifter into Reverse... fuse blows immediately. I had trouble with my account so I had to open a new one with a different name.

Pull out backup light bulbs see if fuse dose not blow when in REV. if no then one of bulbs maybe shorted.

I pulled bulbs. No blown fuse. Put on back in, no fuse blown. Put other in, no blown fuse. Put both in, no blown fuse. Go figure. Thanks for the help.

May have corrected short by removing bulbs or the Grimlins moved on
