Shakes or Wobbles problem
1990 Toyota Camry 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic
The other day, I was accelerating from a strandstill. The second the car started moving, I could notice it was running a little rough. I ignored it (I know, I'm a genius) and once I made it up to about 50, it started shaking. I pulled into a side street, and when I went to step on the gas, all it did was rev the engine, like it was in neutral. I got to a stop, turned the car off, waited a few seconds, and then turned the car back on. No problems. I slid the car into neutral and revved; no problems. But when I slid it into drive, it lurched (while my foot was on the brake), but stayed on. When I released the brake, it was idling well, but when i depressed the gas at all, It did the same lurches. I didn't want to go any faster than that, fearing something would explode. It was eventually towed back to my house. I've been too afraid to even try it again. Any ideas?
