2002 Toyota Avalon passenger side mirror

my wiring harness connector has 8 prongs plus two separate wires that attach to the mirror. I can't seem to find a replacement anywhere. They all have 3, 5, or 9 prong connectors. Where can I get an 8 prong? Do I dare try to splice or disconnect any wires to make a 5 or 9 prong connector work? I've looked everywhere on the internet and locally with some auto parts stores to no avail. Please help me. I don't want to spend $300 and up for this part at a Toyota dealership. Thanks
