Can someone tell me how to get the top hose off the fuel filter. It has a plastic clasp and I don't want to beak it.

There is a special tool to remove it...If you want to take that route.
The sissors shaped tool is the one I have used.
I'll raise the one ear of the inside connector and get tension on the filter to the inside connector. The tension holds the one side, then I raise the other ear of the inside connector and it releases.
I am assuming yours is not similiar
