hello
i have not yet replaced the timing belt nor the water pump. i know it should be done. how urgent is this?
also do i have to worry about the anti lock brake system? i was told brake fluid should be replaced at 100,000 miles. can i expect any steering system trouble? i am very careful about maintenance.
your advice is greatly appreciated.

The worst case scenario for the timing belt failure is that your going to get stuck somewhere, it will cost you a tow bill and cost you diagnosis charges to find out that you should have changed it earlier.

The bright side is that it isn't due until 90,000 miles.

You have nothing to be worried about concerning the ABS brakes.

The brake fluid has varied opinions. On my own vehicle, I suck out the brake fluid out of the reservior every third oil change and refill it. It take 2 minutes to do and a small bottle of fluid.
