simple question about a button by the gear shifter

i just bought a 94 toyota 4 runner and it has a button below the floor shifter when i push it a light on the dash reads ect.pwr does anyone know what it means? thanks

When you push the button while driving does it go out of overdrive? It sounds like a an OD button.

On some vehicles I have seen a power button which gives you a little wider injector pulse width of fule to the injectors for towing or heavy work. For sure you will use more fuel

its not the overdrive button its on the gear shifter must be the power button.
