I have been experiencing this problem for about 2 weeks. It has got me stumped. When I start the truck up in the mornings when it is cold, it makes a whistling noise somewhere around the belt area. It starts to whistle at 2,000 rpm and fades away when you rev the motor up. The noise goes away after engine warms up to normal operating temperature. When i mean a cold engine, it does it when it's been sitting for at least 8 hours. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe one of the belts needs replacing?
