1997 Toyota 4Runner TIMING MAYBE?

Ok so I went mudding about a week ago and hydrolocked my engine. I pulled the plugs and turned The engine over manually to get as much of the water out as I could and then did a tune up and oil change and changed the transmission fluid out. In addition to that I took everything off all the way down to the camshafts to clean it out. After I cleaned it out I put everything back and tried to crank it and nothing. I checked the compression it was at 120. I didn't know of that was normal or not because of the miles. And I pulled the plugs and made sure they are firing and they were good. And I am getting fuel because I can smell it on the plugs. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Sounds low-inject a tbl spoon of 30W oil in the cylinders and see if it'll raise

How did you came with a 120psi reading on the compression check? You're below minimum standards

I took the compression gauge and screwed it into the spark plug hole and turned the truck over least seven times. I did that after I clamped off the fuel lines.

How do I check my ignition timing and if its off how do I adjust it?

Ok so I checked the valve timing and it was a couple teeth off so I fixed that, but still havent been able to start the truck. The timing belt looks good everything looks lined up there. I even changed out the camshaft position sensor. Still nothing. The only thing its doing different now is the first time I try an start it up everyday after working on it is that it acts like it wants to start. I turn the key over and it rumbles like its starting then dies off. After that first try it won't do it again. The engine just turns. What else could it be?

Check the fuel pressure if its right on specs-You sure you're not 180deg off on the valve timing?
