1988 Toyota 4Runner i think its my valve tapping

i was wondering if you had any suggestions, when i accelerate up to 50 mph i hear tapping pretty bad.My power has decreased a lot. do you think i should get it fixed or try to figure it out myself. please let me know

Try changing the oil use correct type and filter don't work, check the oil pressure if okay try adjusting the valve lash
