I need to repair the head gasket at home. How do I do it

Hi there,
I suggest that you purchase a work shop manual, The is to much detail to be typing it here in this forum, the manual will give you step by step instructions with pics, it will advise you on all the tooling you will need as well, i suggest reading the section first and deciding if you have the equipment and the expertise to do this job, being a 4 cyl its not that hard, also make sure that you get the head crack tested, pressure tested and re surfaced, make sure that you clean the block down off ALL traces of old gasket, replace the thermostat as well, feel fee to post if you have any specific questions with any part of this job.
