Torque converter clutch solenoid

I need the exact code number not code description it is a P followed by a four digit number.

The code came up PO 741/742. The part is only $35.00 but it is the labor cost that I am interested in. Thanks!

I just noticed you did not list if you have a four cylinder or a six cylinder engine? Also, who diagnosed the problem? Did someone say to replace the TCC solenoid?

It is a 2.2 engine. I took it to a auto parts store who diagnosed it and gave me the P codes.

So i am guessing that there guessing that they said it is a bad torque converter solenoid? That would only be a guess on there part. Most likely that is what it would it would be. but it would still have to be diagnosed as the actual problem. Also would have to make sure there was not excessive metals etc., in your transmission pan as well. It is 6.5 hours labor to replace your torque converter solenoid plus parts. That is times what ever the shop is charging for per hour for labor.

Yeah. That is about what I figured. So far I am getting estimates of $700.00 without even looking at it. Car is only worth a few hundred dollars more. I appreciate your help!
