It shows that there is too much oil in my car. How do I take out the excess oil before I damage my engine?

Good morning,
You can drain some out through the drain plug.
How much is it overfilled?

There is twice as much oil in there as there should be.

Got it.
I would drain it all out and add the proper amount.

I kind of figured that. But what tools would I need?

Something to lift the car like a floor jack and a jack stand.
A drain pan to catch the oil and a 15mm wrench.
