It broke down after getting off the highway. Everything stopped working. Steering and brakes were hard. Dim lights then none at all.
Mechanic said there was no oil on the dipstick.
He said he found metal in my oil and showed me a container of oil he got from my van.
The oil looked brownish but not clear.
Had a shiny appearance like sparkle but not major. He swished it around to try to show me. Not sure what I was looking at really.
He said I need a new engine. He offered to take it and tow it to a junk yard for Steele.
Said he would rip up my bill, $120.00.
It has brand new tires and the brakes are less than a year old. Car still looks good.
I had it towed to my house. He seemed disappointed and annoyed. Asked me if I really wanted that headache. I said I can’t afford to worry about headaches.
Is there any hope for it?
