Tire rubbing sound

Are your lug nuts tight?

Does it stop when you apply the brakes?

If yes, this may be a brake pad or caliper issue.

Sometimes shields could be bent or loose and be rubbing on the brake rotor.

Is this a constant sound or when turning?

It might be the plastic guards around the inside of the fender rubbing the tire. Some of these pieces are held in place only by plastic, push type pins, they sometimes break and allow the guards to flop free.

With a good flashlight, you might lie down and look things over around the wheel. If you have no luck, you might jack up that wheel and spin it while looking for the issue.

Be safe! Use jack stands if you need to go under the car!

If the rubbing sound is actually more of a grinding sound, it could be wheel bearings failing.
