just wondering if there was one in bank one and bank 2 and are they both same fittings and all? or do i have to purchase a specific one for each?
image below is not the actual photo, just example of what i'm purchasing. i got the code p0012 off the vehicle, so i'm hoping this might help and that the timing hasn't jumped.

Hi,

The term bank refers to one side of the engine. With a 4 cylinder, you only have one bank.

If you look at the attached pictures, they show the procedure for replacement. I'm not sure how the vehicle is running or if it is still running. You mentioned the timing may have jumped. If you feel that could be the cause, let me know what is happening when you start or try to start it.

See pics 1 and 2

By the way I don't think it jumped timing yet, but I have it parked and told the owner to no longer operate it until I try these steps first.. car still starts fine, no metal to metal sounds. But it has seem to lose some power.

Hi,

If it still starts right up, timing is likely fine. The sensor can cause a power loss as you are experiencing.

Let me know how things turn out for you. If you have other questions, feel free to ask.

Take care,
