Timing cover crankshaft seal replacement

I have changed seals before a bunch of times, it just that this seal does not have an otter lip. that is why I was wondering if you put seal from the outside of cover or do you have to put on from the inside of cover, which way?

It goes in from outside the cover. They can be a bear to pull as they are coated with a sealer that really sticks. If you pull the crank sensor off you can get an angle that lets you catch the edge of the seal and push it in enough to catch it with vice grips and lever it out. Check the crank for wear before you install the new one, you can usually seat it a bit shallow to avoid having it run in a groove.

Yea I already have sensor off, had to change it because my serpentine belt had broke and got caught behind harmonic balancer and broke sensor, after driving it for sixty miles I had replaced belt before driving the sixty miles.
