Timing chain/upper chain guide bolt replacement

Would crank and not start sounded like engine was just spinning and a clicking noise. took off camshaft cover. Could move timing guide. And bolt just didn't look right. Got the front cover off chains are not broke but it has jumped time. When I went to take upper guide bolt out I could move it all around with my finger. I'm not sure maybe it broke off at very tip? But why so loose? it's like it wasn't screwed in.replacing bolt with the newer version thats one piece. Can I just set it back in time and replace the bolt or do I need to replace everything?replace water pump to? I have not taken the tenisor out yet. Was wanting some feedback about what I should do . so I know what to buy?

Do you have a pic of what you removed? There is a shoulder on the bolt and then the threads. It may have broken (unlikely) or just came loose.

I'm attaching the directions for replacing the timing chain and components in the event you need them. I don't think the chain is bad at 84,000, but while it's apart, this is the time to replace everything.

However, there is one concern. This is an interference engine. If timing is off, internal engine damage may have happened. What I suggest is this. Replace the guide and get it in time without replacing any other parts. Check engine compression to confirm there is no damage. Here is a link that shows how it's done:
