Need to know how to find top-dead-center

How do I find tdc (top-dead-center)? how do I time it if crank shaft mark is worn down and cannot see it now?

you cannot time it. to find tdc bring #1 up to compression stroke and both valves closed. crank make probably has dirt/grease in it clean it with a wire brush.
