Replaced timing chain now timing is off

I started changing the timing chains on my car, removed front cover turned crank by hand to timing mark on passenger side, removed chain then to driver side and removed chain. when removing the crank sprocket crank turned (don't know how much). now timing marks on driver side head (cams) are way off. don't want to turn cams by hand to proper marks, don't want to bend any valves. on the driver side bank should the piston be all the way up and should i remove the cams turn them to proper timing marks the torque the down?
