Timing

The timing is off. How do I re-set it? The idle is also off.

ignition timing is set by computer there is no adjustment. if cam timing is off it is a belt and may have bent valves if an interference engine. if belt is problem get a kit as it replaces everything like tensioners pulleys etc.
