ticking sound on idle

hi
on idle position i m getting ticking sound from engine compartment not sure from where it is
The sound is on idle while i rev sound disappear.

it may be a bad belt /tensioner recommended replacement is 60,000 mi. but things like this are better diagnosed locally

is there any possibility of bad timing chain or its tensioner ??

well it cold be that but no mileage is given so I can't say but like I said it's better to have it checked locally as I can't hear it

from what I hear and it's not live it sounds like a valve train noise or something similar as long as engine has decent oil pressure and isn't overheating drive it. don't put a lot of things in to engine noises as they can get noisier as it ages. Besides there isno way for me to test this with different things to try to eliminate the noise.

i dont have oil pressure light or engine temperature.
the car is working fine as i told u no noise while driving smooth engine perfect RPM.
just knock on idle

I will just add one thing to this, you may have a problem with a lash adjuster, it may be affected with carbon build up, you can try to do an engine flush and change the oil and filter, use a knowm brand of flush and follow the instructions on the container, if in doubt do as the previous tech recommended, go get it looked at first hand by a qualified mechanic first.
