I know the ticking is common in Dodge and Chrysler vans, and i have replaced many lifters. Never dealt with the Hemi ticl. Is it pretty much the same? I also read that up to 09 is different than 09 and up. I am sure you have seen this before. Any recommendations?

Also, the noise gets better after it's warmed up.

Thanks for the videos. That is definitely valve train noise, I would remove the driver's side valve cover and look for loose valve train, remember to rotate the engine over so you can check all valve train components. Upload videos of the problem when you find it. It sounds like a roller rocker arm has fallen apart.

I am hoping so, and yes it seems to be coming from the driver's side. I replaced many in the past so this is an easy job if it is. Thanks

I removed the driver's side. There is play as you see in the video. Can you give instructions on replacing those? I did it before on a 2.7l motor, which comes as a whole set and it wasn't too bad.

Also online looking at them they just say exhaust or intake, are they the same fit for both driver and passenger? They don't specify.

3. Install the rocker shaft assemblies in the same order as removed.

4. Using the sequence shown, tighten the rocker shaft bolts to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).

Or is this normal? I'm not sure if I am just way tuned to it because if i hear any tick i assume it's ticking. I know there are some normal ticking on all hemi's. I can't tell any more.

So, this engine has roller lifters that can fall apart, If the rockers look okay, I would check out the lifters,

Check out this video:

I have not seen any roller lifters, where are they located? Also, am hearing most of the noise from around the intake, like under the intake.

Also, how would you check on exhaust broken bolts? It's so tight. I read a couple of places that it's a common issue. But how would that cause a tick? Also, i noticed the tick is more pronounced when its warm now.

The lifters are under the intake manifold. You will need to remove the cylinder heads to replace them. To check on exhaust broken bolts use a flashlight from the bottom you may need a small mirror to aid the inspection.

Removed driver side. Found one collapsed. Can you help me with the part number?
It's on the front mds section.
It's the 3rd one in the picture in order from front to back.
I assume other than the difference between the two types for being mds with a hole and non mds, nothing else is different and the rear ones are same as front?
