So my truck decided to go crazy on me. It all started with a battery warning light and the truck shutting off. I got it to start minutes later and ever since then it’s gone completely nuts. Throws a bunch of EGR, ABS and turbo codes (invalid speed, lost connection to turbo, EGR recirculation flap, diesel intake high circuit and low, nox sensor bank 1). Additionally, little by little more things started going wrong. Radio is stuck on Dodge logo, parking brake light came on with ABS and stabilitrak. Warning messages for service electronic brakes. Speedometer doesn’t work either.
Truck runs perfect, boosts fine, no stalling or misfires or decreased power/MPG. I’ve checked all the fuses and found one that doesn’t power on even when truck is running - f64 fuel injectors/pcm. There is no power to the connectors and the fuse is fine. All other fuses working as intended. Checked wiring from ECM to everywhere, crossovers, and any connectors i was able to see. All look fine. I’ve tried resetting the computer by disconnecting the batteries to see if maybe the computer was having a problem but can’t seem to get a proper reset no matter how long i disconnect them. Tried disconnecting the fuses couldn’t get a proper reset either. Tried disconnecting the egr/abs/turbo one by one and seeing if anything changed to try to locate any possible short. No avail. Batteries were load tested and working fine. Alternated was tested and running 14v passed the tests. I’ve checked the TIPM to ensure there was no damage causing a short, nothing. Disconnected star connectors to try to isolate failed module, nothing. Found a 1.3 amp constant draw on batteries, doesn’t seem to affect anything as batteries stay fully charged overnight and alternator is pushing 14v.
Is the f64 - fuel injectors/pcm fuse supposed to have constant voltage? Again, fuse isn’t blown even swapped it to check. There just isn’t power going to it even when the truck is idling. Could this be an indicator that there is a failed communication somewhere between the PCM/injectors and fuse box?
