At times it seams to starve of fuel , let up on gas and it will even up. but it runs smooth.

First thing would be to check the fuel pressure, low pressure due to a failing pump or clogged filter can cause this. You can "borrow" the tools to test the pressure at many auto parts stores. You should have between 60-65 psi.

I am with Steve, check the fuel pressure. Having had two Blazers with the same fuel pump as yours, I have replaced both of them. And they went bad right at the 150,000 mile mark. Also, they are a known common problem with S-Series trucks (Blazers, Jimmys, S-10s, etc).
