I think I might have damaged my throttle body!
Please help me out!
I removed the throttle body in my car (V6 MPFI)
Already cleaned and disconnected sensors.
Ordered gaskets and received them today.
Found this worksheet in there with these instructions.
I did not know I had to do any of this. What should I do?
Is my car going to run bad now?
How can I correct this?

Hello,

I do not think you hurt anything. Here is a guide that shows what you should do when servicing the throttle body. You did not remove the TPS?

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers, Ken

I actually did remove the TPS and IAC because did not want to damage the sensors when cleaning and replaced the gaskets anyhow.

You will need to install those in the exact same place can you see the marks on the TPS where the screws were? You should be okay. Let me know how it goes.

Yes I can see the holes were the screws were originally. I will try that. Someone said if I have a problem disconnect the battery for a couple minutes and that will reset the sensor. Is that true? Thanks a lot for the help Ken.

Hi Ken, I was just wondering, my TPS sensor is due for replacement soon because it is the original part? My MAP sensor is getting replaced and I want to replace the TPS also because been experiencing some of the issues. Regarding when it is time to replace the TPS sensor. Can I just install the new one the same as I did with putting the old one back on? Then disconnect the battery for five minutes to prevent any issues and it should start and ECM will relearn it if I go for a test drive.
