Message center on instrument panel says "reduced power". Everyone says that is the throttle body. Can it be pulled and cleaned, or does it always have to be replace?

There are well over 2,000 potential defects the engine computer can detect and probably half of them can result in this message. A dirty throttle body assembly isn't one of them. The place to start is by having the diagnostic fault codes read and recorded. Those will indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis. The people at many auto parts stores will read them for you for free. Post the exact fault code numbers in your reply and I will look up the definitions for you.

Thank you so much. I will take it and have my parts store plug their computer into it, for the trouble codes. I hope it is something easily corrected. I will post the codes. Thank you again.

You can go here too:

To see what the codes mean, but most require someone as smart as I are to interpret them so they make sense. I wanted to add that link last night but I had to post my reply before the wireless internet system I was hooked to got turned off for the night. Only had thirty seconds to spare!
