Car will not go faster than 40 MPH and it is shutting off while driving

Just to clarify, did you replace this in attempts to repair this issue and it did not work or is this happening after the replacement and was not an issue prior?

We need to get any codes that are in the system and start from there if this was the same issue prior to replacing the throttle body.
