Just replaced my throttle body with a salvaged one (as they are no longer being made) Now my vehicle has an extremely loud/rough idle. I have tried running the engine for three minutes shutting it off and restarting for another three minutes with no avail. Please advise.

The best suspect is a leaking throttle body gasket. Unplug the two-wire connector to the idle air control valve. If the gasket is leaking, unplugging the valve will not lower the idle speed. Spray some water around the gasket while the engine is running and still cold. If you see or hear it get sucked in, and engine speed changes, watch wear that water gets sucked in. Watch around the throttle shaft too. If the bushing is worn, the shaft can move away from the seal.
