dash lights flickering, back window door is opening on its own and alarm will not turn off

So it started out as just my dash was flickering, I thought maybe it was just a light bulb or something. but now my back window door is opening on its own and my alarm went off tonight and would not turn off no matter what I did. I know absolutely nothing about cars and I'm freaking out cause my neighbor said something about it catching on fire if we didn't unplug the battery.

It shouldn't catch fire so don't worry about that. I would try to clean the battery cables as well. here is a guide to help:
