Out of nowhere the theft light came on when I try to start my car. Never had this issue. Have not changed anything on my car.

If you vehicle is operating normally and runs/drives/starts with no problems it might just be a glitch in the anti-theft electrical circuit. To test the electrical wires/circuits it would help to have a digital volt Ohm meter. I am including a link to help familiarize you with testing wires and also attaching a testing step-by-step for the ant-theft wiring circuit.
