The vehicle cant accelerate. (No power)

I have the Nissan caravan van fitted with KA24DE engine. The vehicle is behaving strangely. It starts ok, but fails to accelerate. I tried the following;

Changed oil, oil filter, air filter spark plugs and electric fuel pump but all in vain.

Kindly assist me with the possible causes and remedial action for this problem.

This should be the fuel injected version, will the engine free rev with the throttle pedal in neutral? or is there nothing at all, can the engine rev up by opening the throttle body by hand? does it stutter or misfire? a bit more detail would help a lot.
