rear suspension pump quit, while i was on a trip, and i found a leaking airbag which i have replaced, but the pump still does not come on. when connected directly the pump runs ok, what could the issue be? i have checked the fuses and relays, and they seem fine, checked for air leakage and all pipes are good, i am wondering what triggers the pump to come on and if that is the issue there does not seem to be any disconnections that i can see. i also cross-checked that the pipes to the airbags from the pump are in good condition. the only other clue i have is that the switch for height control is glued to one position but it has been like that since i got the car and i have not had any problems before. what tests can i do to determine exactly what has gone wrong. the other question is that there are no warning lights that have come on on the dashboard, so i am also wondering if that is a sign of a dash light failure or is it possible that there can occur a problem which does not register on the dashboard? would a diagnostic check be an answer to this?i would relly appreciate it if you could help me with this problem as at the moment i am at a loss as to what else to check for , all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

We do not have any information for your vehicle but I checked for information on the Lexus GX470 and basically you should start with a scan to check for trouble codes. This is not a power train related problem so most probably it might not trigger any warning indicator lights.
