The radio does work no matter what button I press or what dial I turn.

Just bought a 98 VW Beetle 2.0 that came with a few issues. The light goes on and the digital screen shows a series of numbers and unintelligible words. When I purchased the vehicle it bought as is. I never realized to ask about the radio and never checked the glove for the owners manual.
