code p0116, temperature sensor problem?

I would remove the electrical connector at the engine coolant sensor to check the connection for corrosion or a wiring problem, if it looks okay replace the sensor, here is the location so you can check it out.

The P0116 code is related to the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor performance.

Clear the codes once the repair is completed. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
