Coolant temperature sensor not functioning?

Good morning, vehicle experience overheating, the temperature gauge was on normal at the combination meter, when observing it on the scan tool, the temperature was increasing when the engine was started but it stops increase at some point and the vehicle engine was overheating.
Please is there any reading or chart that compare temperature of the sensor to resistance or voltage?

Hi,

To test the sensor, you need to remove it and place it in heated water while testing resistance. I attached the directions for testing below.

I have a question. How long does it take to overheat? When it overheats, is there coolant blowing out of the coolant reservoir?

Hello,

Good evening, sir, coolant is not blowing out from the coolant reservoir, but all the hoses are fully pressurized.

You lost me. The hoses should be pressurized. If the gauge in the vehicle wasn't indicating an overheating issue and nothing was boiling over, what did you do to determine it was in fact overheating? If you use an infrared thermometer, what temperature do you see at the radiator?

I didn't take notes of the coolant reservoir at the first time but the hose that move water from the radiator to the engine pulls of as a result of high pressure in the system.
