Temperature gauge and cooling fans do not work

Yes, it sounds like the sensor is bad. The voltage is correct but the sensor is sending the wrong signal to the PCM.

Replace the sensor.

As far as the blower, I attached a diagram for you to view. Verify the fuse has power to both sides and you have power to the motor.

Thanks, I was hoping that you would say that it was the sensor. Does that same sensor send a signal to the gauge?

After I posted the question I looked at the blower motor. I found the 30 amp fuse for the fan was blown. Then I checked the blower motor resister It had continuity between all four pins. I have ordered a new one, but my question is could the blower fan have caused the fuse and resister to fail?

High draw from the blower motor. I would also replace the blower motor as well.

I don't have an Amp clamp. Can the motor be tested with a meter?

No, it cannot. The meters gave a max of 10 amps and the blower draws around 22-23 amps.

I would replace the blower motor.

I am trying to check for power to the blower motor, but I cannot find the color of wires that are in the wiring diagram. My blower motor has two yellow wires with a green trace, a black/orange wire and a green/black wire. I think the green and black wire might be ground. When I tried to use my meter to find the power wire, I turned the key and the fan on with the blower unplugged, I probed all four pins in the harness one at a time. there was no power in the harness. I then turned off the key and checked the fuse...it was burnt and there was still a little smoke rising from under the fuse box. I don't know if I burnt the fuse probing the harness or if there is a direct short somewhere. If that is the correct and complete wiring diagram I must be looking at it wrong. Can you check if the wiring diagram is the right one?

Thanks, I guess I just don't know how to read it then. According to what I am seeing, should I be looking for 12 volt power at the green/orange and ground at black/red. Is that correct? I have only located two harnesses. One goes to the resister and one as far as I can tell goes to the blower motor and I don't see those colors of wires. I have seen a green/orange wire in the fuse box in the correct location for the blower motor.

If you install a new fuse, do you have power to the blower motor connector?

I did install a new fuse. it ether blew or I did something to make it blow. For now I think I need to find the power wire first. I think I am checking for power in the wrong harness because I can't find the proper colored wires.

Can you post a picture of the blower motor connector?

I found the wires. I don't know what that other connector is that I thought was the right one. I also most likely found the problem. There was a lot of water in the fan. This car has been sitting for several years and somehow what looks like rain water has been getting in. Thanks, hopefully a new motor will take care of the problem.
