Turn the thermostat inside the car to heat turn on the blower to high. Turn the direction on to floor but cold air comes out the vent. Then sometimes after driving for a little while the heat will start blowing out the vent. Is it the temperature blend door actuator. And if so is there more than one. If so which one would it be. And where is it located.

Good morning,

No, it does not sound like a actuator. If it was, you would never have any heat.

I would be sure the coolant level is good. If it is and the car is not overheating, then good chance the heater core is clogged.

You can remove the heater hoses under the hood and run a garden hose back and forth until all the debris is gone and you have good even flow.

Try this first before talking about a heater core.

Sounds like the coolant level is low. Top off the reservoir and drive it again. If it gets too low you will need to bleed the air out of the cooling system.

This car has dual temperature control. can you see if the problem just affects one side?
