Tailgate glass window will not open

The tailgate glass will not release with the push button on the handle or with the key fob. Normally when you press the key fob you will here a "click" and it pops open, this does not happen with either way. Also, sinc ethis problem started, the interior lights will stay on and on the dash it shows that the rear gate is open ( will say this when the gate or the window is open). I've checked all the wire connections and fuses with no luck.
