2002 Suzuki XL7 brake light

My brake light is always on. I went to Midas and they told me that everything is good and it electronic problem and it something that was a recole (maybe). What can I do to get the brake light turned off and it is covered under my warranty.

Most likely brake light switch located under left side dash on pedal. Maybe out of adjustmet or faulty.
Checked no recall
