HELP!!!!! Why is there smoke coming from the tail pipe when I start the car. What can I do to fix myself? I haven't had tune up in awhile, so hopeful this is a easy fix. When I recently had oil change done by the church the mechanic told me there was something loose in the front of my engine he thought it had to do with a bereing that turns the fan belt and run the alternater are the to problems connected. I am worried that if i don't get fix right a way its going to lead to other problems. HELP!

White smoke is indicating coolant in the combustion chamber. Check coolant level down? Presure test coolant system if it does not hold pull plugs crank coolant come out spak plug hole? Then blown gasket or cracked head.

That all sounds real expensive, I was hoping it would be an easy fix. Hopefully it doesn't lead to other problems. This is my only car and can't afford to take it in right now.

It will only get worse and could lead to bearing failure resulting in a rebuild. If you keep driving keep close eye on oil when it begins looking like a choclate malt STOP
