My husband has a 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Problem started about a week ago. He can crank the car up in park or neutral and it will idle fine. If he puts it in reverse or drive it automatically shuts off. He can apply enough gas so it does not shut off. He took it to a mechanic and he said it was an air sensor. The mechanic told him to run his air and it should not cut off. As long as he runs his air it wont shut off. I need help please.
