Computer problem
2003 Other Suzuki Models Engine Size unknown Two Wheel Drive Automatic 18000 miles

The malfunction indicator light (MIL) of my suzuki swift (Japanese domenstic model) 2003 [model: LA-HT-51s] is always on now.
The car doesn't show any problem other than the MIL.
I tried with one generic scan tool that support several protocols (including ISO9141 and KWP2000) but the scan tool was unable to comunicate with the car.
Is there any scan tool out there that might be able to get the DTC out from the car ?
Any other MIL related tips are also appreciated
